The White Man's Burden

Caption: This cartoon, referring to Rudyard Kipling's poem of the same name, was published as the Spanish-American War ended and the insurrection in the Philippines against the Americans began.



At the end of the Spanish-American War and the beginning of the insurrection in the Philippines against the Americans, Rudyard Kipling published a poem in McClure's Magazine titled The White Man's Burden.
